Peach Ave Viaduct

Project Description

The Peach Avenue Viaduct is a critical structure within the California High-Speed Rail network, located in Fresno County, just south of the Conejo Viaduct. This viaduct is designed to carry high-speed trains over Peach Avenue, providing a vital grade-separated crossing that supports the safe and efficient movement of rail traffic through the Central Valley.

As part of Construction Package 1 (CP1) — the first and most advanced segment of the high-speed rail system — the Peach Avenue Viaduct represents a key element in ensuring uninterrupted rail operations in an area intersected by local roadways and agricultural corridors. The structure includes elevated embankments, reinforced concrete abutments, and a multi-span bridge deck engineered to meet the speed, weight, and vibration requirements of the California High-Speed Rail system.

Construction activities at the site included earthwork for embankment stabilization, pile driving, formwork and rebar installation for piers and abutments, and preparation of the elevated guideway deck.
